Yesterday I was at Rufford Abbey for Dawn and Andy’s engagement shoot. We were hoping for dry weather but instead we got your typical English day, grey and lot’s of rain. You can actually see the rain drops in most of the photos. Between shots we were running for the umbrellas and my camera was going under my jacket. Considering the circumstances, we got awesome Crash-Art for 2 hours of shootin’ and having fun. I can’t wait for your wedding guys, you are super cool and so in love.
For the photographers. The shoot took place between 12pm-2pm. I used a Canon 5D Mark II and switched between the Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS L and the Canon 24-70mm 2.8 L. No reflectors were used just natural UK light. I only pulled out the 580ex flash for the last 3 images. I used manual mode for the entirety of the shoot and used various camera techniques to make it look as though we took the photos on a nice sunny spring day with some spring rain. Not the grey windy rainy day it really was.
After the summer I will be offering one to one mentor sessions. For further details click here Crash-Art mentoring.
Just received this awesome comment from Dawn and Andy – “Thanks for a fun and memorable day. You made us feel so at ease. We love all of the images, it is going to be so hard to choose one. We would have never imagined a good photograph could come from getting in a tiny hole in the wall, but with you anything is possible. It is good to know that we can rest assured knowing that you will capture our wedding day with style.”
Thanks guys I really appreciate that and can’t wait for your wedding. Crash
