Wedding photography as you know is my passion. I love the fact that my clients put the photography at the top of their list. They know how important photography is on such a magnificent day dedicated to their love and lifetime commitment.

Emma and Duncan are a super fun, funky couple who love photography and drum and bass.  It seemed like most of the guests had cameras and were having a great time snapping away. Emma looked beautiful and Duncan was definitely Mr. Cool. The best part for me was when they left the church to the sounds of Pendulum.

Crash Taylor interviews the bride. A new project started a few weddings ago, which I hope will give future brides who read the blog some inspiration and ideas for their dream day!

Can you tell us where and how Duncan proposed: We’d talked about marriage for awhile, Duncan had asked my Dad’s permission and whilst on the train to Birmingham asked if I fancied going to the jewellery quarter to pick a ring. Once we had the ring, he then proposed on a park bench.

The most memorable moment of the day? Leaving the church to the sounds of Pendulum.

What advice would you give to brides reading this who are planning their wedding? Forget tradition, think about what you and your husband like and incorporate your personalities into the day.

What advice would you give to brides reading this who are planning their wedding? Try not to get too stressed and just enjoy all of the planning and preparations. The day arrives so suddenly and, as my married friends warned me, it goes by so quickly.  It will be one of the happiest days of your life, so relax and savour every moment.

Last week I was fortunate to spend three exhausting but awesome days in London with Yervant and Anie. It was such an inspirational experience and I made 29 new friends! Yervant and Anie let us into their world and held nothing back. The best part for me was the business day with Anie and watching Yervant play in Photoshop. We spent one afternoon in groups walking around Covent Garden capturing images of our three models, man was that a trip!

A big thank you to Yervant and Anie and everybody else who made the event such a huge success. I will definitely be attending your next European event.

Here are a few Crash-Art images I captured walking around the streets of London with fellow photographer friend Ryan Browne.

Emma and Duncan are a very cool couple and I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding this month. The location for the engagement shoot was Nottingham University which is a great place for taking portraits.

I had my first sold out seminar for Calumet Photo on Friday.  A big thank you to Calumet, Jason, my assistant Emma and all the delegates who attended. We had a great time, it was definitely a pleasure to share my photographic techniques, business and marketing skills with you all. Stay tuned for more dates in Nottingham and around the UK.

If you’re interested in upcoming seminars please email me.

A few testimonials
“We’ve organised many, many seminars here at Calumet Nottingham. It’s quite routine in the ’seminar world’ to be trying to sell off the last few places 24 hours before the seminar runs. This October, we had Crash Taylor on wedding photography. It sold out within 48 hours of going on the website! Unprecedented! I even had customers who took a day off work and ‘camped out’ in my shop just in case anyone didn’t turn up! Customer feedback has been excellent. So, Crash, when are you coming back…”
Jason Batterham
Nottingham Branch Manager

Hi Crash,

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the seminar at Calumet that you did today. It was very exciting, I left with a real buzz and lots of useful tips. You packed a lot of well structured things into the afternoon and I felt it was well worth it!!! Could you tell me if you offer tuition? Do you do days/ half days? etc.

Many thanks, hope to see you again

Dominic

Fantastic seminar with lots of punch. Just how I like them.
Good to meet you.

Hi Crash, Just wanted to send a quick e-mail to say thanks very much for the seminar at Calumet on Friday and it was great to meet you. I really enjoyed it and found it really informative and inspiring and also very good value for money! I’ve photographed quite a lot of weddings now in the three years I’ve been doing wedding photography but have been very reliant on on-camera flash. Your seminar has really encouraged me to try use available light much more and to try to experiment with off-camera flash, which hopefully will have a really positive effect on my photography!

Thanks again and very best wishes.

Laura

Last Saturday, Emma and I were at Coombe Abbey photographing the beautiful wedding of Carol and Jason. I first met them last year when I photographed their friends wedding where Carol was a bridesmaid. We started the day at Carol’s house, then onto the church and Coombe Abbey. You guys are great and make sure you live it up on your honeymoon.

Can you tell us where and how Jason proposed: Jason proposed to me during a candle lit dinner he had secretively arranged on the veranda overlooking the lake at our hotel in Sri Lanka in August 2008.

The most memorable moment of the day? There are so many wonderful memory’s but the first one for me was walking into the church and everyone was looking at me. Then once i turned the corner to see Jason looking at me too with a wonderful smiling face and i smiled back, it was the most perfect moment i will never forget.

What advice would you give to brides reading this who are planning their wedding? Be organized and keep a list of things to do so you don’t have to try and remember everything!
