Vicky and Tim

Saturday Emma and I were at Sandon Hall in Staffordshire to photograph the wedding of Vicky and Tim. We arrived at Vicky’s family house for bridal prep photos and then headed off to the church on the grounds of Sandon Hall. This church was so beautiful, one of the nicest I have seen in along time. After a lovely ceremony we made the 2 min journey to Sandon Hall for the reception. The weather gods were on our side and so was the light. We roamed the grounds for 30 mins capturing beautiful romantic portraits of Vicky and Tim just before the light started to disappear. I’m so glad you guys chose me to photograph your wedding; you are such a fabulous couple. I hope you have an awesome honeymoon and Emma and I wish you all the best.  Here are a few Crash-Art images from the day.

Nancy and Carl

We had a great day on Saturday at Nancy and Carl’s wedding. The day started at the Lace Market hotel and then onto Thrumpton Hall. Despite the cold windy weather everybody had an amazing time. Nancy and her sister Rosie own McArtney’s Catering and if you are a bride reading this, and want the best catered food for your wedding, don’t look anywhere else. The food is amazing. Nancy and Carl are awesome and I hope you guys have a beautiful honeymoon. Thanks to Debbie Knox and the team at Thrumpton Hall for coordinating a flawless day. Here are a few Crash-Art signature images from the wonderful day.

Test Shoot

Yesterday I was in the countryside village of Kinoulton with fellow photographers Maria and Cathy.  The location was a derelict farm and outbuildings.  We were armed with our cameras a Lastolite Tri-Grip reflector and a Lastolite Ezybox for the Canon 580ex II speedlites.  Despite the cold and STRONG wind our model Rachel was a champion.  It was so cold and windy that we had to shoot for 5 mins and let her warm up in a winter jacket for 10 mins before moving on to the next location.  I’m happy with how the photos turned out considering how bad the weather was.  Test shoots are great for practicing new lighting techniques etc, it’s also a great creative exercise that definitely inspires everyone involved.  Anyway, I hope you like the images and until next time keep shooting. As usual, comments are appreciated.  If you haven’t already make sure and check out my new photographer interviews site www.interviewsbycrashtaylor.com

Nicole and Paul

Friday I was at Woodborough Hall photographing the wedding of Nicole and Paul.  We started the day in the bridal suite at the Hall and then left for the ceremony at Lambley village church.  After the confetti at the church we headed back to Woodborough Hall for the reception.  It was a great day, the weather was perfect.  Nicole and Paul are super cool and I really enjoyed photographing their special day.  A big thanks to Cathi Higgins from Oehlers Photography for assisting me and Tillyboo Events for coordinating another flawless Woodborough Hall wedding.
